Fun Clipboard
I have made this clipboard using chipboard and a bulldog clip.

Materials
One sheet of A4 Chipboard
Large silver Bulldog Clip
12 x 12 sheet of backing paper - I have used DCWV Once Upon A time
Co-ordinating small piece of Card
Piece of clear vellum
Eyelets
Crop-a-Dile Big Bite
Fabric Flowers
Double Sided Tape
Ribbon
Alcohol Inks

|
Step 1
Using a 12 x 12 sheet of backing paper of choice, cover the piece of A4 Chipboard
|
 |
|
Step 2
I tore a piece of clear vellum at an angle and secured partially with a piece of double sided tape down the left hand side of the board. Then using a piece of the left over backing paper then tore another strip to go over the vellum on the left hand side of the board. I used eyelets to secure in place with the Crop-a-Dile Big Bite.
I added a piece of chocolate covered ribbon down the right hand side of the board.
To create a pocket, I used a sheet from a mat block of the same theme paper. Again tore it at an angle. Attached another piece of torn paper along it and attached with double sided tape and a piece of the same ribbon on top again attached using double sided tape and a chocolate coloured flower attached with an eyelet.
I attached the pocket to the board in the right hand corner using eyelets and the Big Bite.

Step 3
Here is a closer look at the pocket.
I have left the top left hand piece of the pocket un-attached so that there is room to put notes, keepsakes etc. in there
|
 |
|
Step 4
I then attached 3 flowers in varying shades of chocolate/burgundy with eyelets to the top left hand corner.
At the same time I also punched holes at the top right hand corner to thread ribbon through to tie a bow as further embellishment.

Step 5
I decided to keep the colour scheme similar throughout. The bulldog clip I had was silver so I used Cranberry Alcohol ink with a bit of Gold Mixative to colour it.
The application tool I have was too large to get into the small areas so I used an ordinary spring clip wooden clothes peg and a small off-cut of white felt to create a small pad.
I added a few drops of cranberry ink, a drop of gold mixative and a drop of blending solution and covered the silver bulldog clip.

 |
|
Step 6
Here is the coloured bulldog clip.
Alcohol ink dries very fast so it can be handled almost immediately and takes to metal extremely well.
|
 |
|
Finally
I put the clip at the top of the clipboard. Making sure that the clip is bent forward slightly, I glued the back of the clip to the rear of the board using a very strong glue so the board can be hung and stay securely in place.

This was a fun project to do and completed very fast. I think it would look great in any craft room or adapted for a teenager or kitchen. The possibilities are endless.
The Big Bite and Crop-a-Dile are so easy to use and completely effortless, so if anyone has any dexterity problems I would recommend them.
