Arty Farty Colin the Car
I think this is one of my favorite templates of all.
It is more time consuming to make but I love the results.
There are another couple of examples at the end of the demonstraton.

Materials
For this you will need:
Arty Farty Colin template
1 sheet of A4 contrasting card
3 sheets of A3 Card stock
1 sheet of A4 acetate
Double sided tape or PVA glue
Peel off's
Brads

 |
|
Step 1
Following the intructions and templates, cut out the main body of the car from one sheet of A3 card and the seats, wheel arches and running board from the contrasting A4 sheets of card.
|
 |
|
Step 2
Assemble the main body of the car. I have used PVA again as the card I have used is too heavy for double sided tape to hold. It does, therefore, take a bit longer to dry.
|
 |
|
Step 2
I have added border peel off's to various sections of the car body, along the top of the bonnet, around the doors.
Folded the seat which also runs along the bottom of the inside of the car and up to the dashboard and stuck into place except where the windscreen goes.
Insert the acetate windscreen before securing the whole lot in place. I have edged the windscreen with a border peeloff.

 |
|
Step 4
For the front for the grille, I have used gold fancy peeloff's to make a mesh effect then attached the black card into place with the headlamps behind it, these are cut from an off cut of silver holographic card.
I have then attached the wheel base and arches again using wet glue.
|
 |
|
Step 5
To try and make the car a bit more realistic, I have added a gear stick which is simply a piece of a cocktail stick with a bead on the end and coloured using a black permanent marker pen. Poked a hole through the card above the base of the car and secured with a small blob of silicone glue.
I have cut out the steering wheel from the sheet provided in the template kit and added a small gold brad to the centre and a couple of small gold brads with the backs removed and attached with silicone glue, to the dashboard to represent dials.
Onto the windscreen I have also added two small straight peeloff's to represent windscreen wipers.
On the doors I have added small brads to look like door handles, again the backs have been removed and stuck with silicone glue.
|
 |
|
Step 6
I have then attached the tyres - again supplied in the kit. I have also coated them in Anitas 3D gloss so they are nice and shiny with large gold brads through the centre before attaching to the car.
The running board and wheel guards were then added with again fancy border peeloffs added to the footplate although these aren't visible on this photo.
Also the back pieces are added which represent the folded down soft top of the car

|
Step 7
Finally, assemble the box using 2 A3 sheets of card following the instructions supplied.
I think this makes a lovely gift for someone special.

Another male themed car
This one is similar to the one above but at the time I only had white A3 card.
I painted the card before cutting out and assembling with Anita's Metallic Acrylic paint in copper. The box I used the same paint on the card but stippled it with a sponge. The number plate reads DAD 1

Wedding Car
I had great fun doing this one.
I could use all my pretty bits and flowers and ribbons. I used white card but spritzed it with a pale shimmer mist.

Wedding car
It was lovely to add a small bouquet to the back and ribbons along the front with small bows on the doors.
