Lantern Card
for this project you will need
4 x blank cards
4 x apeture cards or cut a circle into a blank card
Ribbon
cotton
double sided tape
embellishments of your choice
decorative paper (optional)
The blank cards and apeture cards can be any size you like but both must be the same size
to start take 1 of the blank cards and 1 of the apature cards.
If you don't have an apeture card you can cut a circle or any shape into a blank card
I have covered the blank card with decorative paper
(this is optional you could have the blank card a different colour to the apature card instead)
then place the double sided tape down the edge of the 2 short sides, and cafefully making sure its alined correctly stick the apature card on top of the blank card.
Repeat the previous stages until all you have 4 separate cards at this stage
stick the 4 cards together
on the short side of one of the blank cards place a strip of double sided tape, stick this card to another so it looks like thi picture and the picture below
this is how it looks from above when two of the cards are stuck together
continue to stick the other 2 cards to the first 2 but don't stick the last 2 edges together, it needs to be able to be shut like a book
Add ribbon to the open edges so that when you close it like a book it can be tied to keep the book closed.
Add embellishments of your choice
This is how it looks when the lantern card is open.
I have hung embellishments with cotton by sticking them to the inside of the card

Below is a list of items you can find on this website for making this card.
